Sbf has done a lot of reaching out to the children on the street and also done a feeding programm especially at nights, So we are taking it a step higher to provide for them a recovery centre to enable them get the life they've been called to by counselling, empowerment and afterwards get them back into the society to function appropriately..

Our search estimates the total number of children living and working on the street to be up to 100 – 200 and this may increase with 50% by 2026 because a lot of people are still giving birth and confused as at what to do with the children, thereby dumping these kids to grow by themselves. And the ones on the street are impregnating girls of their kind which will increase the number of children on the street, if measures are not properly put in place. It is estimated that a lot of children are on the street because of extreme poverty, loss of parents, peer pressure,lack of good parenting etc. A lot of these children go through severe pain from rejection from people and also psychological and emotional trauma which makes them not have compassion or empathyfor people and these lead them into committing a lot of crime.
Their problems have further aggravated by inaccessibility to proper Education, they have this mindset that no one wants to have anything to do with them because of their state. These children face a lot of problems in the society as some persons tend to use them as tool to commit crime like stealing, kidnapping and selling hard drugs.
The proposed project seeks to usher in 50 children into the Rehabilitation Centre but we will begin with 5 children to get healing for their mind and also go through series of therapy and also entrepreneurship development so they can be useful to themselves and the society.
